Rural Bahia this Sunday (31) teaches a traditional recipe in Vitória da Conquista, in the southwest of the state: sprinkled biscuit. The preparation is simple, quick and requires few ingredients. [veja detalhes abaixo].
This is a good choice to help the cold that affects different parts of the Bahian region this winter. In Vitória da Conquista, for example, it is not uncommon for residents to experience temperatures below 10ºC at this time of year. In the city nicknamed “Suíça Baiana”, the sweet sprinkle biscuit is usually accompanied by fresh coffee.
In addition, cookies are an important source of income. In the Vitória da Conquista shopping center there are about 50 stalls, in two stalls dedicated specifically to the sale of food products. According to the Small Business and Small Business Support Service of Brazil (Sebrae), the district leads the production of this food in the region.

- Five cups of 200 thousand sweet sprinkles
- Half a cup of refined sugar 200 thousand
- Five tablespoons of butter or margarine
- five egg yolks
- 200 thousand coconut milk
- A little salt
Start by mixing flour and sugar. Then add butter (or margarine) and mix everything with a clean hand. Gradually add the eggs and coconut milk, stirring constantly. Add salt and let the dough rest for ten minutes.
After this time, create in the desired shape (recommendation; roll the mark in half with a fork) and put the cookies to bake in a greased shape, so they don’t stick. Place in the oven for 30 minutes and a delicious biscuit is ready.
