Recipe tip: Chicken Lasagna with Ham and Cheese

Celebrate Lasagna Day with delicious recipes to bring the family together for Sunday lunch

It’s hard to find a person who doesn’t like to eat lasagna, isn’t it? Presented many times, especially on Sundays, Italian food has won the hearts of Brazil and not only the character of Garfield, the famous cat in comics and movies, who loves a good lasagna!

Celebrated on July 29, Lasagna Day has gained space all over the world, and in Brazil, this delicious pasta arrived with Italian immigrants at the end of the 19th century – and it’s here to stay!

EQUIPMENT

250 g of lasagna noodles
1/2 cup Mococa butter
250 g soft cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt and onion powder
taste black pepper
1 3/4 cups warm milk
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken
250 g of chopped pork
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
grated mococa cheese

PLAN

Cook the lasagna noodles in water for 8 minutes, you can salt the noodles at this stage. Let the water drain and set aside. In a pan, melt butter and cream cheese, let it boil for 5 minutes and season with salt, onion and pepper. Add warm Mococa milk and mix until smooth. Then add all the grated mozzarella cheese and leave it on the fire until it melts and the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and set aside. In the refractory you can start layers: cheese sauce / pasta / chicken / pork / sauce, always in this order. Finish by putting grated mozzarella on top, and sprinkle it with bread. Preheat the oven to 200ºC. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for about 25 minutes. After this time, remove the foil and bake until golden for another 10 minutes.

Tip: Use grated Mococa cheese for sprinkling at the end.
