Always celebrated on the second Sunday of May, Mother’s Day is an important day for the family to come together and honor the true roots of the family. As always in Brazilian cuisine, TABASCO® pepper sauce celebrates mothers, featuring a recipe for Macaroni with Chipotle Chicken, Bacon, Spinach and Tomatoes in a Spicy Garlic Sauce, made with TABASCO® Chipotle Sauce as an option for this date.

- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 250g chopped cooked chicken breast
- 30ml TABASCO® Chipotle sauce (for marinating)
- ½ medium onion chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 handful of fresh basil
- 5 large tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 20ml TABASCO® Chipotle Sauce
- 100 g small spinach leaves
- 5 minced garlic cloves
- 100 g chopped smoked pork
- 300 ml of sour cream
- 200 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 80g grated Parmesan cheese, to serve
- 2 servings of your favorite pasta
In a small bowl, toss the chicken in the TABASCO® Chipotle Sauce.
In a pan, add olive oil and fry the onion until soft.
Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Add tomatoes, sour cream, TABASCO® Chipotle sauce, paprika, spinach and half of the pork.
Once the soup starts to boil, reduce the heat and let the soup reduce until it thickens.
Add the chicken, Parmesan cheese and basil and stir. Place the sauce on top of your chosen pre-cooked pasta and finish with the remaining Parmesan cheese and bacon.
